Most Costumes were made to match the current fashion of the time period.
Masks are created to fit a certain look.
All masks are made in the style of Carnacialesa.

Many of the characters do have masks but others are just heavily made up with very exaggerated features.
Arlecchino:
Mask: Very Rounded face with a wide nose.
Costume: At first patchwork with many vibrant colors then became a one piece all the same color with accent of gold.
Pantalone (Pantaloon):
Mask: His mask would be very "gaunt and swarthy" with a large hooked nose
Costume: all people playing Pantalone would have the same costume. He would be in all red piece and would have a cape and often the actor would stuff his pants to make himself more noticeable to the ladies.

Costumes the male would wear the latest fashion and their female counterparts would be in large elaborate dresses.
